Built high on cliffs overlooking the confluence of two rivers, Gurthap Keep was a bastion of strength and a haven for the Cult of the Red God. Here, priests of old sacrificed over the tomb of long dead Kha M Thir, honoring him for his long service to the Red God.
They added bastions to the keep, walls, temple and barracks. From there they terrorized the surrounding country, raiding the villages of Alice, Greenbriar and Ends Meet until at last the rangers gathered against the Cult and overthrew it. They drove them from their walls and those they did not slay, fled into the Darkenfold to the south.
The castle has sat thus ever since, a grim testament to the gods of the old world. The forest has consumed it and only the memories of men keep it alive. But beyond its abandoned walls lie the shadows of yesteryear. For the tomb of Kah M Thir was never found and the secrets of the priests of the Red God never fully revealed.

A dreadful fear and terror-born nightmares linger in the Shadows of the Halfling’s Hall.
Brambletoe Hall has ever been deep, warm and filled with mirth. Here, the good Mayor Willic Brambletoe has long presided over a board of warm mutton, fresh apples, berries, peaches and the like, as well as wondrous breads, warm butter and cool drink. Mayor Willic welcomes all, inviting many various and sundry folk to sit and eat with him, or to gather about his great hall and make merry, pass the time and exchange news of distant happenings in exotic lands.
But something has changed in that noble Halfling’s Hall and a Shadow of Evil has taken up abode there. Not many days past, in those deep hours before the dawn, the sounds of merriment changed to cries of despair. A haunting came to the Goodman’s home and left an air filled with the noise of terror and a foul odor of unrepentant evil.
Abandoned now, a shadow has hung over the hall ever since. Foul play or murder, none know. But the Shadow of Fear has spread, weirdlings haunt the late hours of the night, stalking the environs of Newbriar. And the locals now say Newbriar has come at last to know the shallow welcome of the other world.
In fear, the folk of Newbriar have called for aid, sending riders forth to find courageous heroes willing to rid the town and its suffragans of the terror of the Shadows of the Halfling Hall.

The valley was tamed long ago. The deep gorges were bridged, a road cut through her swampy bottoms, and towers set to watch the road to keep the mountain’s predators at bay. That was long ago when the kingdoms of men were young and strong. For now the valley is empty of its old inhabitants. The towers are in ruin, the road in disrepair, and her people long gone. But it is not empty, for creatures have crept into the void, both deadly and mad. Even the bridges offer a deadly and dangerous challenge to the unsuspecting traveler.
The Long Valley is an overland adventure that allows the characters to explore the whole 30 mile stretch of country. The challenges range from the monstrous to the terrain, itself. Death lurks at every turn for the valley is as dangerous as it is beautiful. There are several encounter areas, including dungeons--loosely strung together.

Open and Play includes all the basic rules for a fun filled evening of Castles & Crusades. No other books are required. All the rules of play are included in this new adventure book.
In the long ago Days before Days, before the sun shone upon mountain, hill or lake, Mailahm, that is the moon, shone her lights upon the world. Hers was a gentle touch, her light a silvery hue and all the world rejoiced in the comfort of it and that age was called the Faul Mur.
But Narrheit, her brother, who was ever malicious and clever, crossed the heavens and marred her silvery light. In his wake the skies turned green and the comfort of Mailahm passed and a wrath fell upon the world. And these were called the Shadows of Narrheit, or the Shadows of the Green Sky.
So it was from that age to this, that at times, the skies turned green and doubt and wrath came to the world, for these are the echoes of Narrheit’s purpose. From the burning ruins of Immesberg, to the rubble strewn slopes of the Norling Mountains, plunge into the turmoil of a mad god’s spite.
Shadows of a Green Sky is a low level adventure designed for 3-6 characters with a challenge level of 3-5.

'Tis said of that ancient brooding forest that even before the world grew accustomed to the light of day, that her stems were grown high and her eaves already dark and contemplative. If ever those ancient trees have pondered, however, then it was in silent expectancy, brooding on a bent that only they and perhaps a few others may know, for it has never been theirs to speak with vocal tongue. Mayhap they ponder simple things, or maybe they wonder on the many creatures which have come to crawl the earth since those days before days, for all manner of beasts and monsters have come from the outlands to slip into obscurity underneath the shadowy vale of the Darkenfold.
Mortality of Green includes an area map of the Darkenfold forest, information on the villages of Ends Meet and Greenbriar, handouts for the players, and new monsters for the Referee. The module is designed for and easily accommodates into any campaign setting, including the Winter Dark Campaign Setting. It is especially good for a single nights play.
Comes complete with Area Map of the Darkenfold Forest!
Designed for 4-8 characters of levels 3-5. It is particularly suited for a ranger or druid.

Boots wet from crossing the small river, you tramp up onto the remnants of an old road. A small village lies before you. Its mostly wooden cottages stand arrayed in neat order along either side of the road. The dinner hour is only just passed and the town is muted and dark. Shutters and doors are tightly closed, and the gentle clanking of your armor and equipment echoes in the still quiet. No dogs bark. There is no sound but the ragged breaths of your tired band.
Lord Galveston’s lands are plagued by murders. For the past several months people have been disappearing. Some bodies have turned up, their corpses found along the banks of the river. Strange tracks of a cat-like creature have been found around the villages, and rumors abound that a charon fiend, a dreaded beast of chaos, has come from the nearby wood and settled in the area. The latest victim is the Deacon of the Four Saints Church in Capendu. His body, found in the river, sent the alarmed villagers in search of aid.
The adventure unfolds in the lands of the aged Lord Galveston and plunges everyone into a twisted tale of wild beasts and the restless dead. Unriddle the adventure and discover the truth behind A Lion in the Ropes.

Another night of popcorn and dice, another quaint village with a friendly tavern, and another dungeon to map and explore. But looks can be deceiving.
Castle Keepers have begun adventures in many a tavern, but not like this. Players have relied upon many a non-player character, but none like those detailed within. To recover a fabled gem at the behest of a village, the Players must overcome their expectations of the familiar trappings of fantasy role-playing. Like the beautiful but deadly Red March in which it is set, twists and surprises make this, The Fantastic Adventure.
This module is designed for 4-8 characters with a challenge level of 1-2. Has overland and a small dungeon. The Fantastic Adventure is compatible with any fantasy world.

Stains upon the Green thrusts the characters into the Tar Kiln, where the ruins of an old dwarven ring fort offers them refuge from the wilderness and its many dangers. Beyond the parapet’s walls and the ruined barbican that breaches them stands a keep, built on these borderlands long ago. Abandoned now to the wilderness, its secrets are ripe for the taking. But within it lies a secret portal that others wish to use, to bridge the gap between worlds.
The adventure is set upon the borderlands known as the Tar Kiln, a wilderness that lies beyond the northern marches of the Kingdom of Kayomar. Here the rolling hills and mixed pine and hardwood forests give refuge to creatures great and small; boars the size of ponies, giant wolves, and massive cave bears. There are also bull headed men and long toothed tigers, grim faced giants, and trolls. They come for the hunt, for the elk and deer are plentiful and large. It is a broken country, littered with tar pits that lay in bleak silence like stains on a canvas.
It is designed to introduce characters to the Rings of Brass, magical portals that lead to dwarven roads carved through the planes. It is specifically designed for use in bridging the Lands of Ursal in Aihrde with the Free City of Eskadia in the Haunted Highlands. It is modular however, allowing its use in any setting of the Castle Keeper's choice. The plane travel aspects are not germane to the adventure and can be discarded if desired.

The hooves of the bay stallion crunched loudly upon the pine needles littering the floor of the Everwood, making the hooded figure leading the animal wince in consternation. As with all those who ply their profession with stealth, such rampant noisemaking was abhorrent to the nature of the man, a ranger by career - traveling deep into the wild woods of the valley. The melodic rustle of the leaves in the wind soothed the ranger somewhat as he made his way purposefully towards the Great Oak at the center of the Everwood, the forest's very heart as well as the nexus of its power. "What an appropriately peaceful setting for a meeting with a druid,' the ranger mused. Though at odds with the burden I bear."
The Everwood was always a place of serene beauty, a forest both ancient and mysterious. Known for its deep roots, it has served as a home for the fey for generations without count. But the world is a wide and dangerous place and the druids long ago set themselves the task of protecting the Everwood from the depredations of evil. Thus it has always been. For many long years the Druid Argus, the latest in his line of folk, has kept the Forest of Everwood safe. His struggles have pitted him against foes great and small. But no matter the challenge he has always found the wherewithal to overcome evil. But lately, something new has come to his possession. The Ranger Lords have given over to him an evil grimoire. They sought his experience and knowledge in unraveling the book and hoped thereby to know what to do with it. Argus took the charge, hoping to glean from it knowledge of their enemy. And so he bent himself to learning all that the book had to offer. But his researches have of late gone foul. His studies have opened up a nightmare and this book is not a simple wizard's text of spells but the book of the undead, the Liber Mortis.
That dread book of the undead has ever been a bane to men, for within it dusty pages lay the knowledge of the other side. Argus's lust has led him astray for the book has corrupted and made of him a monstrosity the likes of which the forest realm has not seen in many a long year. He has bent his power towards evil and turned the forest into a place of dread and worse he has bound those of the fey to him and made them creatures of nightmare.
So it is that the Dryad Eva has come to the Halls of Men seeking aid for her kin and her forest, seeing aid against the very man, the druid, who has for so long protected her people. Come to the Everwood . . . .

In the crumbled ruins of ancient cities, tombs and crypts where dead Kings lie, in the halls of libraries upon tablets of stone and vellum scrolls echo the secrets of worlds gone by. In their ruin lay written clues, faint reminisces of power and glory, unnoticed by men and elves, passed by as curiosities or riddles best forgotten. Runes. Dwarf runes. Runes of power. Runes that captured the language of creation, recast it in symbols and glyphs pregnant with power.
Introducing Rune Lore, an exciting supplement for the Castles & Crusades Role Playing Game. You've played the divine; you've wrestled with the eldritch sorcery of the arcane; now, unravel the mysteries of the runes and a magic like you've never played before.
Rune Lore takes full advantage of the Siege Engine, bringing its power to the table. Runic spells, over 40 in the book, allow the caster to use their imagination and bend them to their will. Use the rune of fire to light torches, burn fields, set wagons afire; use the rune of fire to bring flames to life or burn foes. Combine runes for greater affect. All this by use of the Siege Engine. The only limit is your imagination.
Rune Lore is the perfect symbiosis of the philosophy of Castles & Crusades, its designers, and the world of all our collective imagination.
Runes of Old
In the crumbled ruins of ancient cities are tombs and crypts where dead kings lie. In towered halls lay a sorcerer’s forgotten lore, writ upon tablets of stone and vellum scrolls. In dungeons dark are threads of time, spun from gods and monsters.
All these echo the secrets of a time long forgotten whose faint memories are etched in runes of power and glory, curiosities, or riddles best left to the dead who house them. They are passed by all but a few, the rune marks.
Rune Marks
There are those who possess knowledge of these etchings, these runes of power. With booted feet and steel in hand they tread the wilds and plunder ancient holds, unraveling the knot of secret lore and mastering its eldritch might. These are the Rune Marks. For them the runes open the hidden deeps of the world's mysteries and the treasures of gods are made bare.
Rune Lore
With Rune Lore find a new class, the rune mark, over 40 magical runes and everything needed to integrate runic magic into your Castles & Crusades game. Included within Rune Lore are over a dozen short adventures, a host of new magic items, new monsters and a campaign setting, the Gottland, to house it all.

There are faerie tales that grandmothers tell children around the table or before the warm embers of a crackling fire; tales of the old world, tales of giants, and the heroes who fought them, of dragons and beasts of wild abandon. Some tales end happily, though others are dark and promise misery and death. But for the most part they are just stories. But once in a great while, these stories are all too real.
Tales of legends, mostly forgotten, spoke of the Hallowed Oracle, the prophecy of the Abyss Walker and of the unleashing of hell itself upon the mortal realms.
Plunge into the land of Terrigan where legends promise to walk and a band of young adventurers becomes entangled in fate, destined to play a role for good or ill in the mysterious fate of the Abyss Walker. Enter a wild chase across the known world, battling ancient cults, tribes of wererats, defending keeps, and seeking this mysterious Hallowed Oracle, all the while trying to unravel the mystery of its prophecy. Just who or what is the Abyss Walker, and who is destined to help, or stop its rise…?
It all starts with the recovery of a trinket, a mysterious sage, and a blue book
